Our next major project is the release of our short film “Where My Life Has Been.” which I have been blessed and honored to coproduce with Janice Ellis, along with an excellent cast and crew, as well as with a very talented cinematographer/editor Dreka Shevon at Primestone Media. Considering that this is Mental Health Awareness Month and that the CDC states that the youth in America are experiencing a mental health crisis, along with the fact that statistics showed that in 2021, suicide was the 2nd leading cause of death in the US for people ages 10-14 and 20-34, we took action. Our short film focuses on these issues. Our movie, based on true events, tells the heartwarming story of a young man who, through no fault of his own, becomes caught up in a situation that is beyond his control, yet for which he is forced to take responsibility, in order to save his young son. Seeing no way out, our young man, like so many young people today, does the unthinkable. While the story is based on true events, the names and events/situations have been changed.
